IndiGo, one of India’s major airlines, has recently faced a series of mid-air incidents. In a recent event, a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight had to make an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar due to a bird strike. Another incident involved an IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Bengaluru, which experienced a technical issue causing one of its engines to shut down mid-air.
Despite this, the flight returned to Kolkata safely, and passengers were rebooked. Earlier the same day, another IndiGo flight from Madurai to Mumbai landed safely in Mumbai despite an engine shutdown. In both cases, the airline has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and cited technical issues as the cause.
