Income Tax Department Conducts Raids in Bengaluru Linked to Jewellers

The Income Tax Department conducted simultaneous raids in 50 locations linked to jewellers in Bengaluru. These raids were carried out at the offices and residences of jewellers as well as premises linked to M. Chandrashekar, Secretary of the Coffee Board. The raids were taking place in upscale localities including Malleshwaram, Sadashivanagar, Dollars Colony, Mathikere, Sarjapur Road, RMV Extension, and others.

Similar raids were conducted on jewellers last week based on tax evasion concerns. The current raids were initiated based on the documents obtained during the previous operations. Some jewellers’ homes and offices were being raided again.
