Inclusive ‘At Home’ Celebrations to Honor National Achievers
The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed states to expand the invitee list for the ‘At Home’ functions on Independence Day to include a diverse range of achievers, including Olympians, exam toppers, COVID-19 frontline workers, and individuals mentioned in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann ki Baat.”
These prestigious gatherings at Raj Bhavans, traditionally attended by top officials and dignitaries, will now also honor eco-warriors, women sarpanches, and other contributors to society. The ministry emphasizes the need for the event to be a cherished experience, with patriotic performances and special invitation cards serving as lasting souvenirs for attendees.
