IMD Warns of Intense Rainfall in Andhra Pradesh Due to Cyclone Fengal

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy downpours across south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on November 30, 2024, due to Cyclone Fengal.

North coastal Andhra Pradesh, including Visakhapatnam, will experience light to moderate rain influenced by the storm’s remnants. Early rainfall observations indicate Bheemulavaripalem in Tirupati district received 37 mm of rain, while Visakhapatnam recorded 5 mm between 8:31 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Coastal areas are already witnessing squally winds and rainfall.
