IMD Issues Heatwave Alert for Andhra Pradesh

Residents of 12 districts in Andhra Pradesh have been warned by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) of impending heatwave conditions over the next three days. With temperatures expected to soar, authorities advise individuals to remain hydrated by drinking water regularly, even if not feeling thirsty. Additionally, precautions such as wearing light-colored, loose clothing and using protective gear when outdoors are recommended to mitigate heat-related risks.

Workers exposed to the sun are advised to use hats or umbrellas and to stay vigilant for symptoms of heatstroke, including weakness, dizziness, and nausea. As temperatures rise, staying informed and taking appropriate preventive measures are essential to safeguard against heat-related illnesses.
