IMD Forecasts Isolated Very Heavy Rainfall in Andaman & Nicobar Islands
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated very heavy rainfall in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Thursday and Friday. Squally weather with wind speeds reaching 45-55 Kmph gusting to 65 Kmph is also expected in the Andaman Islands on Friday and Sunday. In other parts of India, the weather forecast includes light to moderate widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand.
South India is predicted to receive light to moderate widespread rainfall, with isolated heavy rainfall in several regions, including Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Interior Karnataka. In West and Central India, rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are forecast, with isolated heavy rainfall in areas like Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh.
