IDF Denies Ordering Full Evacuation of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has denied issuing an order for a complete evacuation of the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Contrary to Palestinian media reports, the IDF stated that it responded to the director of Shifa Hospital’s request to allow Gazan citizens sheltering in the hospital to evacuate toward the humanitarian crossing in the Gaza Strip through a secure axis.

The military clarified that it did not request the evacuation of patients or medical teams and emphasized its commitment to coordinating medical evacuations when requested. The IDF carried out an 18-hour operation against Hamas terror infrastructure at Al-Shifa, alleging the presence of weapons and Hamas assets. The hospital’s management and the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza have denied these claims, calling for an independent investigation.
