Hoax Bomb Threat at Kerala State Secretariat
The Kerala Police headquarters received a bomb threat call at around 11 a.m. on Thursday, claiming that a bomb had been placed in the state Secretariat, the seat of power in the state. The Secretariat houses the offices of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other state ministers. In response to the call, bomb and dog squads, along with a large team of police officials, initiated a thorough search in and around the Secretariat complex.
Simultaneously, another police team traced the caller to Pozhiyoor, a coastal hamlet in the capital city, and identified the individual as a mentally unstable person. The search at the state Secretariat yielded no results, leading authorities to conclude that it was a hoax call.
