Hindu Temple Vandalized with Anti-India and Pro-Khalistan Graffiti in Canada
A prominent Hindu temple in the British Columbia province of Canada, Shree Mata Bhameshwari Durga Society Mandir, was vandalized with anti-India and pro-Khalistan graffiti. The temple’s outer walls were spray-painted with slogans such as “Punjab is not India” and “Modi is a terrorist.” The incident is part of a series of attacks on Hindu places of worship in Canada, with similar incidents occurring in the past.
It comes ahead of a Khalistan Referendum event scheduled for September 10 and amid threats from the banned group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) to “lockdown” India’s Consulate in Vancouver. Canadian authorities are investigating these incidents as “hate-motivated.” Despite protests from New Delhi, anti-India campaigns persist in Canada, targeting Indian diplomats and temples across the country.
