Himachal Pradesh Forest Department Reduces Trek Fees in Dharamsala to Boost Tourism

The Himachal Pradesh Forest Department has decided to cut the entry and tenting fees for treks in Dharamsala by 50%, aiming to enhance tourism activities in the region. The Dharamsala forest circle will implement a 50% discount on entry and tenting fees for various trekking routes, including the popular Triund trek.

This move is expected to boost tourism and support registered local guides, who will be exempted from any fees. The entry fee has been reduced from Rs 200 to Rs 100 per person per day, while the tenting fee for two persons, including the entry fee, has been slashed from Rs 1,100 to Rs 550.
