Health Minister Addresses Diarrhoeal Outbreaks in Jaggaiahpeta and Kakinada

Amid a severe diarrhoeal outbreak, Health Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav visited the Community Health Centre in Jaggaiahpeta on June 23, noting 21 new cases, raising the total to 67, with one confirmed death. In Kakinada, 148 cases emerged from three villages due to a polluted lake used for drinking water. The Minister highlighted water contamination as the primary cause, criticizing poor sanitation and infrastructure management.

Emphasizing an urgent response, he announced that multiple departments are collaborating to mitigate the situation. Strict actions were warned against officials neglecting duties, underscoring the need for improved sanitation and preventive measures.
