Haryana’s Home Minister, Anil Vij, expressed suspicion of a conspiracy behind the recent communal clashes in the Muslim-dominated Nuh district, where three lives were lost. Addressing the media, he emphasized that both communities had been living peacefully in Nuh for a long time, and the violence appeared to have been orchestrated by a mastermind. The discovery of stones, weapons, and bullets at the scene further fueled his belief in a planned plot.
The authorities are launching a detailed investigation to identify and take strict action against the mastermind behind the clashes. Despite the tense situation, the Home Minister assured that the district is currently under control, with a curfew in effect. Internet services have been suspended, and security forces have been deployed to maintain law and order.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also promised “stern action” against those responsible for the incident. Nuh Deputy Commissioner Prashant Panwar reported that no further untoward incidents have been reported, and flag marches are being conducted. The administration will convene a meeting to assess the situation and determine the duration of the curfew. In response to the violence in Nuh, police have also conducted a flag march in the neighboring town of Jhajjar to bolster security.
