T. Harish Rao, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), visited Gandhi Hospital to meet Motilal Naik, who is on an indefinite fast demanding reforms for job aspirants in Telangana. Rao appealed to Naik to halt his fast, promising the BRS’s support in advocating for the unemployed youth’s demands. These demands include an increase in government job posts, improvements in exam procedures, and sufficient intervals between competitive exams for adequate preparation time.
Rao urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to address Naik’s concerns promptly, cautioning that the government would be held accountable if Naik’s health deteriorated due to the protest. He also called upon TJS leader M. Kodandaram to champion the cause, criticizing the Congress and other leaders for their past promises and current silence on the issue.
