Gruesome Quadruple Murder Shakes Udupi: Manhunt Underway for Killer
In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves through Udupi in Karnataka, four members of a family were brutally murdered on Sunday at Trupthi Nagar. The assailant, who wore a mask, stabbed a woman, identified as Haseena (46), along with her two daughters, Afnan (23) and Aynaz (21), and her son Aseem (12), in their residence. The police, responding swiftly, have formed five special teams, each headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), to apprehend the killer.
Video footage shows the accused alighting from an auto near the crime scene, and two individuals have been taken into custody for questioning. The murderer, who spared no one in the family, also assaulted Haseena’s mother-in-law and threatened a young girl in the neighborhood who attempted to raise an alarm. Strikingly, no valuables were taken from the home, and investigators are exploring the possibility of the crime being driven by personal motives, including a potential connection to a jilted lover, as they piece together the motive behind this horrific act.
Afnan, one of the victims, had been on leave from her job at Air India, adding further layers of complexity to this tragic and deeply unsettling incident.
