In his final address to the joint session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Council, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer asserted that the state government has earnestly fulfilled its promises, achieving comprehensive development across all sectors. The Governor highlighted the swift recovery of the state’s economy from the COVID-19 fallout, with significant growth in agriculture, industries, and services.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to welfare and development programs, showcasing a decline in the Poverty Head Count Ratio and a notable increase in per capita income. Governor Nazeer outlined achievements over the last five years, underscoring the government’s inclusive approach to benefit diverse sections of society, including farmers, unemployed youth, auto drivers, weavers, senior citizens, women, and children.
The installation of the 206-foot Statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar was cited as a symbol of the government’s dedication to social justice, equality, and empowerment. The Governor expressed optimism for continued public support in sustaining the developmental momentum.
