Global Capability Centres Projected to Contribute 5% to India’s Economy by 2030

Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are expected to significantly boost India’s economy, contributing up to 5% of the GDP by 2030, according to a recent report.

This forecast comes after the ‘Economic Survey 2024’ predicted a 3.5% contribution from GCCs. The increased projection is attributed to the rapid growth of multinational companies setting up operations in India, driven by advancements in digital technologies like the ‘Digital Twin’ strategy.

This digital approach has led to substantial improvements in operational efficiency, cost reduction, and faster implementation timelines.

The integration of AI, cloud, IoT, and sustainability initiatives is further transforming GCC operations. By adopting digital-first strategies, companies are ensuring real-time collaboration, which is enhancing productivity across multiple sectors such as IT, banking, pharma, and manufacturing.

These developments place India at the forefront of global business innovation and competitiveness.
