Former Minister V. Senthilbalaji to Face Charges in Court
The Principal Sessions Court has instructed the appearance of former Minister V. Senthilbalaji, currently in prison, for the framing of charges on Friday. Arrested by the Directorate of Enforcement last year on money-laundering allegations in a cash-for-jobs scam, Senthilbalaji faces accusations stemming from his tenure as Transport Minister in the Jayalalithaa government.
Despite his petition to delay charges until the resolution of predicate offenses, the court dismissed the plea, affirming the necessity for Senthilbalaji’s presence during the legal proceedings.
