Former BJP MLA Goolihatti Shekar has stirred controversy by reiterating claims that he faced caste-based insult when visiting Hedgewar’s memorial in Nagpur. In a viral audio clip, Shekar challenges BJP leaders and the Sangh Parivar, asserting that if he had lied, he would clean their houses. He details the insult he allegedly experienced at the Hedgewar Museum, emphasizing the fresh pain it brings.
Responding to accusations of being a drunkard by former BJP MLA P. Rajeev, Shekar argues that liquor revenue is a significant government income source, funding his pension.
The Karnataka RSS unit refuted Shekar’s claims, stating there’s no system to register visitors at the Nagpur Sangh’s office, dismissing the allegations as baseless. Shekar, no longer with the BJP, maintains that his motive is addressing the lingering pain from the incident rather than political gain.
