Forest Officers Seize Poaching Wire and Apprehend Culprits in Mahabubabad District
Forest officers in Mahabubabad district have successfully confiscated poaching apparatus and apprehended two individuals for hunting a wild boar using illegal means. During a routine perambulation drive, officers discovered steel binding wire connected to an electric line in the Gudur range. Upon investigation, residents Lavudya Krishna and Sabavathu Danjya confessed to using the wire for electrocuting a wild boar and consuming its meat.
A case has been registered against the accused, reflecting the Forest department’s commitment to combating poaching activities in the region. Additionally, efforts such as the ‘Catch the Trap’ drive have been reinforced to further deter poaching incidents and protect wildlife.
