Fishing Boat With 40 Fishermen Missing in Arabian Sea

A fishing boat named Christori, registered in Goa and carrying 40 fishermen, has gone missing in the Arabian Sea near Karwar in the Uttara Kannada district. The boat reportedly faced technical issues with its engine during extreme weather conditions in the Arabian Sea.

Departing from Panaji in Goa, the last GPS signal was recorded near Belikeri in Ankola, Karnataka. The network has been disconnected for four days, prompting coastal guards to initiate a search and rescue operation to locate the missing boat. The incident highlights the challenges faced by fishermen during adverse weather conditions in the sea.
