Fishermen in Tamil Nadu Protest Assault by Sri Lankan Gang
Fishermen from Nagapattinam and Ramanathapuram districts in Tamil Nadu have staged protests after five of their colleagues were allegedly assaulted by a Sri Lankan gang while at sea. R.K. Arumukhan, the leader of the fishermen’s association in Nagapattinam, called on the Tamil Nadu government to intervene and raise the issue with the central government.
