The Greater Chennai City Police (GCP) inaugurated India’s first ‘Police Drone Unit’ on Thursday, June 29, 2023. This unit is the first of its kind in the country and aims to enhance aerial surveillance capabilities and facilitate quick detection of criminal activities.
