A fire broke out on the Udyan Express train at the Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) train station in Bengaluru on Saturday, about two hours after its arrival, according to railway officials. The South-Western Railway reported that the train had reached platform number three at around 5.45 a.m. Smoke was detected in the B1 and B2 coaches at approximately 7.10 a.m., prompting an immediate alert to the fire brigade.
Fire service personnel arrived by 7.35 a.m. and successfully extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with no reported casualties or injuries. All passengers had already disembarked, and the affected coaches were empty at the time of the incident. Further details are awaited.
