Fire Engulfs Jute Mill in West Bengal’s Howrah District
A major fire broke out at a jute mill in Howrah district, West Bengal, causing extensive damage to the mill and resulting in the complete destruction of the stocked jute products. The incident occurred on Foreshore Road, and it took more than five hours and the efforts of three fire tenders to bring the flames under control.
Fortunately, there were no casualties reported, as the mill was empty when the fire erupted. The loss is estimated to be in lakhs of rupees. This marks the second fire incident in the area within ten days, following a blaze at a warehouse storing plastic items on November 10.
