Fighter Jet Crashes During US Airshow, Occupants Eject Safely
During an airshow in Michigan, USA, a MiG-23 fighter jet crashed after its two occupants safely ejected from the aircraft. The incident occurred near Willow Run Airport, with both individuals parachuting to safety and landing in Belleville Lake.
Neither occupant sustained significant injuries, but they were taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures. The jet subsequently crashed into a parking lot of an apartment complex, damaging unoccupied vehicles. No injuries were reported among residents of the apartment complex.
Thunder Over Michigan, the airshow’s organizers, halted the event following the “situation”. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation into the incident.
