The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) announced on Monday that they have apprehended a female informant working for Russia, who was allegedly preparing an airstrike in the Mykolaiv region during the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the SBU statement, the suspect was gathering intelligence about the planned visit and attempting to identify the time and locations of the President’s approximate route. The SBU had already obtained information about the suspect’s subversive activities and took additional security measures during the President’s visit.
During their investigation, it was revealed that the woman was tasked with locating electronic warfare systems and ammunition warehouses of the armed forces. The suspect, identified as a former saleswoman in a military store in southern Ukraine’s Ochakov, had allegedly traveled around the district and filmed Ukrainian objects’ locations.
