Fatal Fire Erupts in Mumbai Hotel, Leaving 3 Dead and 2 Injured
A tragic fire swept through a hotel building in Santacruz East, Mumbai, claiming the lives of three individuals and leaving two others injured. The blaze ignited in the ground at plus 4-storied Galaxy Hotel in Prabhat Colony on Sunday afternoon, with the cause still under investigation.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade revealed that the fire originated from electric wiring, split AC units, curtains, mattresses, and wooden furniture in two rooms on the first and second floors. The flames rapidly spread through the hotel premises, affecting common electrical ducts, laundry facilities, and the staircase lobby.
Firefighters battled the inferno for over three hours before successfully extinguishing it. The deceased have been identified as Rupal Kanji, Kishan, and Kantilal Gordhan Vara, while the injured are Alfa Vakhariya and Manjula Vakhariya.
