Fatal Explosion in Jammu & Kashmir’s Samba District: One Dead, Another Injured

In a tragic incident in Chandli village, Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, a man lost his life, and another sustained injuries after a mortar shell they discovered in a forest area exploded, according to Benam Tosh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba. The injured individual has been hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition.

Following the explosion, the injured person was transferred to GMC Jammu for further medical attention. The incident underscores the potential dangers associated with unexploded ordnance in conflict-affected regions, urging caution and proper handling of such materials to prevent tragic accidents.
