Family of Missing Truck Driver Faces Cyberattack Amidst Uttara Kannada Landslip

The family of Arjun, a truck driver missing since the Uttara Kannada landslip, has filed a complaint with the Kozhikode cyber cell after experiencing cyberattacks. They allege that their original statements regarding the rescue efforts at Shirur were manipulated and used to produce misleading videos circulating on social media. These doctored videos falsely portray them as critical of the government and Army, sparking further controversy.

The family has condemned some YouTube channels for spreading fake news and distorting their statements. Police are currently investigating the matter by collecting and verifying the implicated videos. The missing driver, from Kannadikkal, disappeared on July 16 in the landslip near Ankola, prompting criticisms of the rescue operations.
