In Gujarat’s Vadodara, a doctor named Aseemkumar Sankhari, who had been practicing medicine without formal medical education for over two decades, was apprehended by authorities. Sankhari, originally from West Bengal, had been operating his own clinic in Raipur village without a valid license.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested him, seizing medicines and cash believed to have been collected from unsuspecting patients. This discovery has prompted local health officials to review the credentials of clinics in the area to prevent similar fraudulent activities. Such cases have raised concerns about unlicensed practitioners endangering lives in the region.
