Exposed Power Cables Endanger Residents in Keelkattalai and Madipakkam

Residents of Keelkattalai and Madipakkam are increasingly concerned about the exposed underground power cables installed by Tangedco. The shoddy installation has exposed cables on key roads like Ambedkar Main Road and Sabari Salai, posing a significant risk, especially during rains when these areas flood.

In Keelkattalai, cables are half-buried in shallow pits without route markers, while in some streets, heavy-duty cables are installed above stormwater drains. Residents are urging Tangedco to rectify these hazardous installations to prevent potential accidents.
