Explosives-Laden Car Seized at Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka Border Check Post
Police authorities in Kolar intercepted a car laden with a significant amount of explosives at the Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka border check post on April 8. The interception occurred during a routine random check conducted by officers stationed at strategic locations, particularly in border areas, ahead of elections. One suspect, identified as Asif Hazrath Ali, was apprehended while his accomplice managed to evade capture.
The seized explosives included 1200 gelatin sticks, seven boxes of wire, and six detonators. Investigations are underway to determine the source of the explosives and whether they were intended for illegal quarrying activities, according to Kolar SP M. Narayana.
