European F-16 Training Center Launches in Romania for Ukrainian Pilots

A significant development in military cooperation has unfolded as the European F-16 Training Center (EFTC) commenced operations at the Fetesti airbase in southeastern Romania. This center is poised to emerge as a global training hub for F-16 jet pilots, catering to Romania and partner nations, including Ukraine. Ukrainian pilots are scheduled for a comprehensive six-month training program at the facility, marking a crucial step in enhancing their capabilities.

Reports indicate that the Netherlands will contribute between 12 and 18 F-16 aircraft to support training activities at EFTC.
