Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 45 teams of hand-picked police personnel will be providing “proximate security” to VVIP invitees. The teams, led by deputy superintendent of police-rank officers, are trained in good behavioral and communication skills to ensure the hassle-free movement of invitees.
Only the Special Protection Group (SPG) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be allowed in Ayodhya during the event. The security personnel, dressed in formal attire, will provide close protection to VVIPs, including industrialists, politicians, celebrities, and spiritual leaders. Additionally, 60 teams of young sub-inspectors will handle airport-like frisking duties during the ceremony.
