Emergency Landing in Bangkok: Singapore Airlines Flight Faces Severe Turbulence, One Fatality

A Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore made an emergency landing in Bangkok on May 21 due to severe turbulence, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew, encountered the turbulence necessitating the landing.

Thai media reported 30 injuries, while Singapore Airlines prioritized assisting affected passengers and crew. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport had medical teams on standby to provide immediate aid. The airline is coordinating with Thai authorities to ensure all necessary medical support is available.
