Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s Ambitious Plan for Government Efficiency
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have outlined bold plans to reduce federal regulations and cut government spending under a potential Trump administration. The two businessmen aim to slash over $500 billion in expenditures and reduce the federal bureaucracy, which they claim poses an “existential threat” to democracy.
Their proposed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would advise President Trump on which regulations to nullify, using executive powers. Musk and Ramaswamy, both staunch Trump allies, are confident that a conservative Supreme Court will support their vision, despite expected political and legal challenges. Their ultimate goal is for DOGE to no longer be needed by 2026, symbolizing a streamlined, efficient government. However, concerns about conflicts of interest persist, particularly due to Musk’s businesses’ extensive government dealings.
