Educational Institutions Reopen in Haryana’s Nuh District After Communal Violence

Schools and other educational institutions in Haryana’s Nuh district, which were closed due to communal violence on July 31, reopened on Friday. Additionally, ATM and bank services have resumed, with a five-hour operational window. The Nuh district administration relaxed the curfew from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bus services of the Haryana State Transport Department have also been fully restored.

The decision to reopen institutions and services was based on the improving situation in the area. The relaxation also includes the opening of ATMs in specific areas during the curfew hours. However, in Gurugram, Jamiat Ulema president Mufti Saleem Qasmi urged people to offer Friday prayers in mosques or their homes instead of open spaces.

The clashes that erupted on July 31 resulted in six casualties, including two home guards and a cleric, following an attack on the Brijmandal Yatra of the Vishva Hindu Parishad. Sporadic incidents of violence were also reported in Gurugram.
