ED Raids Premises of Shiv Sena MLA Ravindra Waikar in Money Laundering Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on seven residential and official premises connected to Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Ravindra Waikar, a former state minister. The action is part of an alleged money laundering case related to irregularities in the construction of a deluxe hotel, including the Matoshree Club, in Jogeshwari.

The ED’s case stems from a Mumbai Police FIR, which accuses Waikar of obtaining illegal approvals for a five-star hotel construction on a plot reserved for a garden, causing significant losses to the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation. Waikar, a prominent Shiv Sena leader, served as a minister in the state government from 2014 to 2019.
