ED Accuses Jailed Minister Senthilbalaji of Attempting to Stall Trial

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has submitted a counter-affidavit in the Principal Sessions Court, alleging that Minister Senthilbalaji is making efforts to obstruct the trial proceedings in the money laundering case against him.

The ED’s response comes after the minister filed a petition during a recent hearing, requesting a deferral of the trial based on certain legal issues until the resolution of the predicate offences. The counter-affidavit argues that the minister’s petition is a deliberate attempt to disrupt the trial process and should be rejected by the court. The court has extended Senthilbalaji’s remand until Wednesday.
