In a heart-wrenching turn of events in Kota, two students took their own lives within a span of five hours on the same day, reportedly due to receiving low marks on their tests. Aavishkar Sambhaji Kasle (16) from Maharashtra, who had been preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), jumped from the sixth floor of a coaching institute in Kota.
Later that evening, Adarsh (18) from Bihar, also preparing for NEET, was found hanging in his room. Despite guidelines issued by Kota Collector O.P. Bunkar to avoid Sunday tests, the incidents occurred after tests were held on a Sunday. The tragedy has prompted fresh orders prohibiting coaching institutes from conducting tests for students for the next two months.
Kota, known as an education hub, has unfortunately witnessed four student suicides this month alone, further highlighting the immense pressure and stress students often face during exam preparation.
