Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad Joins TDP, Citing Humiliation in YSRCP
Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, the former Minister and YSRCP’s Guntur District president, resigned from the party and joined the TDP on Friday. Expressing his reason for leaving, he cited feeling humiliated after his candidature from the Tadikonda Assembly constituency was changed without his consent.
According to Mr. Manikya Vara Prasad, the YSRCP announced the name of another candidate for the constituency, M. Sucharitha, shortly after nominating him. He stated that despite his efforts, he was unable to discuss the matter with party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
