DigiYatra Gains Traction at Chennai Airport
Since its launch in June, the DigiYatra facility at Chennai International Airport has been utilized by over 22,000 passengers, streamlining their journey from entry to boarding. This initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation aims to reduce congestion and expedite check-in procedures. Registration requires passengers to download the DigiYatra app, input their Aadhaar number, and upload a selfie and boarding pass to generate a QR code.
Despite initial concerns at other airports about pressured sign-ups, Chennai is enhancing passenger guidance with additional signage. Regular users, like Tushar Garg, commend the system for significantly cutting down wait times and improving overall efficiency.
