Devotees Seek Recognition for Pamban Swamigal at RGGGH
Devotees of Pamban Swamigal, marking a significant day in Margazhi, visited the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) where the saint was once admitted for treatment. On the Pradhamai day of Margazhi, devotees traditionally commemorate the Swamigal’s healing after a horse cart accident in 1923. Seeking recognition for Pamban Swamigal, the devotees visited RGGGH to pray, expressing their wish for a hospital ward named after the saint.
They also propose the construction of a prayer room in his name, emphasizing the Swamigal’s inclusive teachings that transcended religious boundaries. The Minister for Hindu Religious and CE P. K. Sekarbabu, visited the Pamban Swami Mutt, releasing a book to mark the occasion.
