Delhi Police Launches Investigation into Doctored Videos of Home Minister Amit Shah

The Delhi Police’s Special Cell has registered an FIR following a complaint by the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the circulation of doctored videos of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media platforms. The FIR has been filed under various sections of the IPC and relevant provisions of the IT Act.

According to the complaint filed by Sinku Sharan Singh, DC, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), the doctored videos aim to create disharmony among communities, potentially affecting public tranquility and order. The Special Cell is now likely to make arrests across the country, with further action expected based on the attached links from which the videos were shared.
