Security measures in the national capital have been significantly heightened in preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit scheduled for this weekend. Delhi Police have initiated daily flag marches in each district, intensified picket checking, and increased patrolling efforts to ensure law and order during the high-profile event. Additionally, paramilitary personnel are participating in flag marches, and all security forces are on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents.
Vehicle checks at city borders have also been conducted, and comprehensive security measures, including motorcade protection and venue security, have been implemented. Special Commissioner of Police Madhup Tewari emphasized the stringent security measures in place, involving Central Armed Police Force staff, National Security Guard support, and armed forces assistance for specialized areas, to ensure the safety of the event.
