Delhi Police Detain Two More in Parliament Security Breach Case; May Recreate Crime Scene
Following the arrest of Lalit Jha, the Delhi Police have detained two more individuals, Mahesh and Kailash, in connection with the December 13 Parliament security breach case. The crime scene may be recreated to understand how individuals managed to enter the Lok Sabha with smoke canisters. Jha, who had surrendered along with Mahesh, was arrested on Thursday night.
The police suspect Jha of destroying mobile phones during his trip to Rajasthan before returning to Delhi. The Special Cell is verifying these claims. The detained individuals face charges under sections like criminal conspiracy, trespassing, provocation with intent to cause a riot, obstructing public servants, and assault under the IPC, along with sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA. The police labeled them as terrorists, alleging a well-planned attack on Parliament to incite fear.
