Delhi Police Busts Narcotics Syndicate, Arrests 19-Year-Old Kingpin and Four Associates
The Delhi Police have dismantled a narcotics syndicate operating in the national capital and its outskirts, with the arrest of a 19-year-old kingpin, Harsh Vardhan, and four accomplices. The syndicate’s drug supply chain extended from Delhi to Odisha. Acting on specific intelligence, the police apprehended Vardhan in Gandhi Vihar, Delhi, with 22.786 kgs of high-quality cannabis. Interrogation revealed that Vardhan recently established the network to profit from the illegal drug trade. He traveled to Odisha to assess the cannabis source and supply, subsequently making regular trips to Bhuvneshwar to purchase and distribute the narcotics in Delhi for the past 5-6 months. Bishwajeet Mahapatra, the cannabis source from Odisha, was also arrested, along with associates Ramesh Kumar Sharma, Amit Kumar Tiwari, and Arul Pandian.
