Delhi High Court Seeks CBI’s Stand on K. Kavitha’s Bail Plea

The Delhi High Court has sought the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) stand on BRS leader K. Kavitha’s bail plea in connection with the alleged excise policy scam. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma issued a notice to the CBI and listed the matter for further hearing on May 24, along with another petition by Ms. Kavitha seeking bail in the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) money laundering case.

Ms. Kavitha is in judicial custody in both cases lodged by the ED and the CBI related to the alleged scam. The high court also sought the CBI’s response on another plea by Ms. Kavitha against a trial court order allowing the probe agency to interrogate her in custody.
