Delhi Grapples with Severe Air Quality as AQI Hits Alarming Levels

On Friday, several pockets in Delhi continued to experience ‘severe’ air quality, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching alarming levels. The Anand Vihar station reported ‘severe’ conditions, with PM 2.5 at 498 and PM 10 at 484. Carbon monoxide (CO) was at 114, categorized as ‘moderate,’ while NO2 levels were satisfactory at 97.

Bawana station recorded PM 2.5 at 500 and PM 10 at 498, with CO at 105 (moderate) and NO2 at 55 (satisfactory). Dwarka sector-8 station reported ‘severe’ PM 2.5 at 485 and PM 10 at 421, while CO was at 100 (satisfactory). Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 area registered ‘severe’ air quality with PM 2.5 at 446 and PM 10 at 377, and CO at 104 (moderate).

Delhi Technical University (DTU) station recorded ‘severe’ PM 10 at 444 and PM 2.5 at 344 (very poor). Jahangirpuri reported ‘severe’ PM 2.5 at 436 and PM 10 at 401, with CO at 139 and NO2 at 121 (moderate).
