On May 21, a Delhi court framed charges against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of sexual harassment, criminal intimidation, and outraging the modesty of female wrestlers.
Singh, who pleaded not guilty, is set to stand trial, asserting his innocence before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Priyanka Rajpoot. Co-accused Vinod Tomar, former WFI assistant secretary, also faces charges of criminal intimidation. The allegations have led the BJP to replace Singh with his son Karan Bhushan Singh for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat.
